Passport Perspectives Abroad
Wander with purpose. Return with perspective.

WELCOME
At Passport Perspectives Abroad, we create immersive global field seminars that blend thoughtful travel, historical depth, and personal discovery.

Our journeys are grounded in place, story, and purpose—whether we’re tracing wartime resistance through vineyard tunnels or walking the quiet corridors of rising authoritarian regimes.

This site is a living itinerary. Some pages are still unfolding as we travel across Europe to finalize our 2026 seminars. We invite you to explore what’s here, follow our journey on Instagram, and return August 1 when bookings officially open.

Until then—wander with us.

Meet your Hosts
We’re Anne-Marie and Rob, married for over 30 years and longtime travel companions across continents and cultures. As university professors with 20 years of combined experience leading study abroad programs, we’re passionate about designing immersive, intellectually engaging travel experiences that are as flexible and fun as they are meaningful.
Rob holds a PhD in Criminology and an MFA in Creative Writing, blending analytical thinking with a storyteller’s eye for detail and creativity. He's designed multiple study abroad courses for his students in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Czechia (Czech Republic), and Israel. Anne-Marie has a BA and MA in French, a PhD in Nursing and Healthcare Innovation with a career that spans both clinical practice and academia.
Fluent in French and immersed in French culture, Anne-Marie brings a unique global lens to every journey—one rooted in lived experience. As an undergraduate, she spent a year studying in Angers, France, living with a host family in the same Loire Valley city where we now base our European operations and host the Wine & War in the Loire global field seminar. We've remained close with her French “family,” returning there almost every summer since the mid-2000s to stay connected and learn to experience Angers not as tourists, but as part-time locals.
Through Passport Perspectives Abroad, we invite fellow lifelong learners to travel not just as visitors, but as thoughtful explorers—engaging with the history, culture, and everyday life of the places we know and love best.
